Yesterday, I did a little shoot with David Spowart, a great photographer here in Toronto. A recent transplant from the UK, he and his wonderful partner, the exceptionally lovely and talented actor Helen Johns, have become good friends and great collaborators. These are just two of the many pictures we shot. Keep your eyes peeled in the coming days for new additions. In the meanwhile, check out his work via Facebook, here.

For all you south of the border folks- keeping in mind I’m up here in Toronto- Hallmark will be airing The Town Christmas Forgot tomorrow, November 25th at 8 pm central in the US. Check it out- it will replay again here in Canada on W starting December 1st. And don’t worry, I’ll let you know…

Airing tonight on Space here in Canada, at 9 pm and midnight EST and 6pm and 9 pm PST, is my episode, entitled “Stoned”.
I play Dr. Tanya Zimmer, and I turn to stone.
Ok, try not to hear ELO’s Turn To Stone in your head right now….
Check it out- the amazing SFX work by MastersFX is mindblowing. I had a full bodycast made in order for them to mock up a version of me, encased in stone. I believe there were 4 of us in the episode that went through that process. Wild.

This is a spot I did for Worksafe BC a while back but as it’s a PSA, a public service announcement, they are running it for 2 years. I believe it’s specific to BC but for those that haven’t found it amongst my clips, I thought I’d do a posting here.

Happy standard time! Woo hoo! For those of you not living in Saskatchewan, isn’t that extra hour just something? I want a 25 hour day every week. Just saying.
So, the airdates are solidified for The Town That Christmas Forgot: November 25th on Hallmark in the US at 8 and 10 pm, according to their site. For all you fellow Canucks out there, W network lists it playing (wait for it): December 1st at 10 pm, 14th at 7 pm, 18th at 1 pm, 19th at 3 pm, 21st at 7 pm and on the 25th at 4 pm. So while you’re tucking into that Tofurky and loading up on cranberries and sweet potato mash, you can enjoy, for the umpteenth time, our lovely little film.

November 1st marks the beginning of World Vegan Month and World Vegan Day, celebrating compassion and cruelty free living. The Vegan Society defines veganism as “…a way of living that seeks to exclude, as far as possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing and any other purpose.”
As for me, I’ll be rocking out my home made organic giant oatmeal raisin cookies and leftover Indian dal with sweet potatoes and purple kale, perhaps with a side of Tofurky Italian Sausages and hot organic apple cider, local and in season.
